Description

The SBIG STL Series Camera with Five-Position Filter Wheel Adapter for CCD Field Flatteners and Telecompressor Correctors is Designed to be used with: Dedicated CCD Field Flatteners (175FF, 160FF and 13035FF) and Telecompressor Correctors (175TCC, 160TCC, 155TCC and QuadTCC).

This adapter was developed with two primary goals in mind: to reduce the vignetting caused by the use of a standard 2" nosepiece on the large CCD chip of the STL11000, and to maintain the critical distances to the focal plane required by the sophisticated and complex optics of the Field Flattener and the Telecompressor Correctors listed above.

The adapter is machined from a single piece of aluminum for strength and rigidity and bolts directly to the camera. This allows removal of the 2" nosepiece, and the much larger opening of our adapter leaves the camera's own internal filters as the only possible source of vignetting on the edges of the CCD chip. The ADATCC1 is black anodized for a rich finish.

This adapter has a net spacing distance of 1.71" (43.4 mm).

Parts Included:
Four 6-32x1/2" socket head cap screws for attachment to the STL series camera.

Documentation:
Refer to the following diagrams for additional information regarding spacing:
175 & 160 CCD Field Flattener Spacing Requirements
0.76x CCD Telecompressor Corrector Spacing Requirements

Note: This adapter is similar to adapters being made for use with all of our other 2.7" and 4" Prime focus Field Flatteners and to use with the 2.7" to 6x7 Outer Bayonet Adapter (ADA2767). They are NOT interchangeable.

Note: Camera pictured is NOT included
