Coronado CEMAX 1.25" 18mm Eyepiece — for use with Coronado H-alpha Solar Telescopes and filters. This eyepiece is specifically designed for use at H-alpha (H-α) wavelengths. Optimized coatings are used to enhance contrast, minimize glare and also affords excellent contrast on the solar disk. Additionally, this eyepiece performs extremely well for lunar and planetary viewing. Includes caps for both ends.
Please note that this eyepiece is NOT a filter itself and for solar observing MUST be used in conjunction with a Coronado Ha Solar Telescope or telescope with a Coronado filter set properly installed.
Parfocal with the CEMAX 12 and 25mm eyepieces. Features 11mm eye relief, a 52° apparent field of view, and includes a rubber eye guard.
CAUTION: Never look through a telescope at the sun without either using a dedicated Hydrogen-Alpha telescope with built in etalon and blocking filters, or a professionally made white light solar filer that completely covers the front of the instrument. Otherwise permanent eye damage could result.
Please note this product was not designed or intended by the manufacturer for use by a child 12 years of age or younger.
