When the evening dew sets in - as it almost always does here in the Pacific Northwest - you'll be glad to have a water resistant star chart. This chart is specially treated with a water-repellent coating that will keep it from getting soggy and damaged. We think this is a good investment that will keep you from having to buy new charts frequently.

We wanted a clear and detailed atlas, easy to consult at the telescope. So, starting with the famous Pocket Sky Atlas, the authors magnified its 80 charts and added six additional close-up fields, including "Steam from the Teapot" and "The Scorpion's Tail".

This is identical to the Pocket Sky Atlas but in a larger format.  This format has hard covers and is easier to read at night with a red flashlight. has never been such a wonderfully detailed atlas so handy to take on trips and use at the telescope, thanks to its compact size, convenient spiral-bound design, and easy-to read labels.  The 80 charts contain more than 30,000 stars to magnitude 7.6 and some 1,500 deep-sky objects
