Description

Designed to be used with: Dedicated CCD Field Flatteners (175FF, 160FF and 13035FF) and Telecompressor Correctors (175TCC, 160TCC, 155TCC and QuadTCC).

The ADATCC2 was designed to allow owners of smaller CCD cameras that employ 2" nosepieces to use the CCD Field Flatteners and Telecompressor Correctors shown above.

The ADATCC2 is machined out of solid aluminum, and is then fitted with our brass compression ring and with three large thumbscrews for a rock solid grip on your camera. For even greater stability, we recommend replacing the camera's nosepiece with our Tapered 2" Nosepiece (AP16T).

This adapter has a net spacing distance of 1.5" (38.1 mm). Note the following exception. This adapter has a net spacing distance of 1.7" (43.2 mm) when used with the 160FF and 175FF.

Important Considerations:

  • Nosepieces: Nosepieces exceeding 1.0" (25.4 mm) in length MUST NOT be used with any of the Telecompressor Correctors since they will strike the optics.
  • Spacing: Use of the ADATCC2 with your particular camera will require you to calculate the total optical backfocus of your system. The ADATCC2 will add spacing of 1.7" (43.2 mm) to your camera with the 160FF and 175FF, and will add 1.5" (38.1 mm) with the 175TCC, 160TCC or 155TCC. Some cameras may already have too much inherent backfocus to be used effectively with this adapter. Others may require a small amount of extension to be added. However, bear in mind that smaller cameras with smaller-sized sensors are a bit less sensitive to the spacing requirements.
