ScopeGlow Tripod Leg Collars — Set of 3

Stop tripping over your tripod in the dark. ScopeGlow collars slip onto your tripod legs and cast a soft glow all night long, so you (and anyone else at the eyepiece) can always see exactly where the legs are — without a flashlight, without breaking your night vision, and without disrupting anyone else's astrophotography.

How it works

Each collar is 3D printed to order out of glow-in-the-dark plastic, sized to your exact tripod tube diameter. Just enter the diameter above — no need to worry about fit or tolerances, we handle that part for you.

Built for the field

The glow is intentionally subtle. It won't wash out your vision or show up in indirect long-exposure shots, but it's more than enough to spot your tripod legs at a glance. In our own field tests, the glow holds steady from dusk to dawn — though like all glow-in-the-dark materials, it's most visible under genuinely dark skies (Bortle 5 or darker). If you're observing under heavy light pollution, don't expect much glow — but if you're out at a dark site, you'll be glad it's there.

ScopeGlow collars are designed and 3D printed right here in our Seattle store — not outsourced, not mass-produced overseas. Every set that ships out has been through our own hands.

We're astronomers and astrophotographers ourselves, and we test every batch the way we'd want a product tested: out in the field, under real dark skies, on our own tripods. If a design doesn't hold up to a full night of dew, temperature swings, and getting kicked  in the dark, it doesn't go up for sale. What you're buying is the version that survived that process.

Choose your material

• Standard (PLA) — great for some setups; holds its shape up to ~40°C (104°F)
• High-temp (PETG) — rated up to ~70°C (158°F), with added rigidity. Recommended if your tripod will sit in direct sun or in a hot climate, since PLA can soften and warp under prolonged heat

Not sure which one you need? If your gear ever sits out in daytime heat or direct sunlight before your session, go with the high-temp version — it's cheap insurance against a warped collar.

These collars will work for all cylindrical tripod legs. If your tripod has a different form factor please let us know and we can work a solution with you.
