Overview

If you want to install a guide telescope in parallel to the main one, guide rings offer the simplest and cheapest solution to make this. The PLUS Guide rings offer a high build quality and all the features useful for this application, allowing you to install guide telescopes such as guide scopes and small refractors.

Like all the other elements of the PLUS series, these guide rings are made with high mechanical precision (built with CNC machines from aluminum block) and specially designed to enable you to easily install other mechanical elements such as support rings, plates or dovetail clamps.

Description

The PLUS Guide Rings are part of the PLUS (Prima Luce Universal System) which includes many guide rings, support rings, plates, adapters, and dovetail clamps to offer you the maximum freedom to build your mechanical system of support, depending on the application that you want to achieve. Indeed, all the PLUS elements have threaded holes, holes and slots suitable for connecting elements, always with maximum rigidity and comfort. Prima Luce designed many element for this purpose, including the PLUS Guide Rings.

Each component of the PLUS system is made of aluminum blocks that are high precision CNC machined. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation.

80mm PLUS Guide Rings

You can install the guide rings PLUS 80mm directly above the EAGLE using the 2 additional plates (which provide a flat base for optimal connection) and the 4 screws M5x12 supplied in the package.

You can install the guide rings PLUS 80mm also above the PLUS support rings or above the PLUS Vixen or Losmandy style dovetail plate by using the 4 M6x12 screws supplied in the package.

115mm PLUS Guide Rings

Thanks to the particular design, the guide rings PLUS 115mm can be:

1. screwed (with 2 screws each) directly on all the PLUS compatible support rings or with a single screw on support rings from other brands (which have a center hole).
2. screwed (with 2 screws each) on the PLUS dovetail clamps: if you install a Vixen or Losmandy PLUS plate above the support rings of your telescope, you can slide the guide rings in the perfect position to properly balance the weight of the guide telescope.

If you have other brands mechanical accessories, you can still use all the elements of the PLUS system. Indeed we have provided a series of central slots that allow, for example, to fix on these guide rings on plates or support rings through a screw.
